Hoda Kotb just updated fans about her youngest daughter’s health, one year after she was hospitalized for an undisclosed “scary” emergency that resulted in her spending time in an intensive care unit.
In a brand new interview with People, the 59-year-old Today co-host confirmed that four-year-old daughter Hope Catherine, who she shares with ex-fiancé Joel Schiffman, is being monitored round the clock, but her condition has now “stabilized.” Last year, after Hope’s scary hospitalization, Hoda confirmed to People that her daughter was “doing much better,” adding: “I think it’s going to be a longer road, but she is doing great.”
The Making Space with Hoda Kotb podcast host revealed to the pub that she won’t be going into specific details about Hope’s condition because of her young age, and she doesn’t want her daughter to get “labeled” or treated differently.
“It’s really tricky, because I don’t want Hope to get labeled,” Hoda told the pub, adding: “She’s a kid who is so vibrant, and most days everything is totally fine. I don’t want people to look at her differently.”
