Hoda Kotb recently made a guest appearance on the Jamie Kern Lima Show podcast, where she shared an optimistic outlook on future romantic possibilities. The Today Show anchor, 60, opened up about her dating life following her 2022 breakup with fiancé Joel Schiffman after an eight-year relationship, expressing confidence that something wonderful is on the horizon for her.

“When I close my eyes and I envision the romantic part of my life, I can see it very clearly,” Kotb said during her August 13th podcast interview. She went on: “like I see it. I know it is coming for me.” Kotb, who co-parents daughters Haley, 7, and Hope, 4, with her former partner Schiffman, 66, expressed that true clarity has emerged for her by embracing her most genuine self for the first time ever.

The broadcast journalist added: "Someone's meeting me. Not the version that you might want, or not the version that I'll twist a little bit to fit your needs or what is appealing to you, but this is who I am. And I feel like, once you get there, you're like, your heart rests."

Kotb continued: "I think there's something my sister asked me. I remember, she said, 'Aren't you nervous that you won't meet someone?' And I said, 'No, I'm actually not.' And I mean, lie detector, pulse, no, because I know the way my life is that that too is coming. So many things have taken so much time to show up in my life. And I don't mind it one bit."

The television personality said she is delighting in what she describes as "an incredible latter part of life," a phase she never dared to dream of or imagine as possible.

As for her dating life, Kotb is prioritizing what fits into her current schedule and life circumstances. "Right now, if you were to ask me today, 'Is love coming?' I ask myself today, 'What do I have room for today? What do I have space for?' So if I'm honest, I have space for a Friday night. That's all right now," Kotb explained.

At present, Kotb said she remains open-minded about what lies ahead in her romantic life, noting: "I know that when everything aligns, there will be space and room and, an open heart for [it]."

During her chat with podcast host and IT Cosmetics founder Jamie Kern Lima, Kotb delved into the details of her split from Schiffman, revealing that they had been "growing at different spaces," which made it challenging for them to stay aligned.

"I think a lot of people are probably in these situations," Kotb told Lima, 47. "One person's growing, or one person wants it this way, and one person wants it that way." When reflecting on her current relationships with former partners, Kotb expressed that she holds only love for her ex-partner Schiffman. "Joel is one of the best people I know, and he really is a great human being," she gushed. "And I feel like I'm a pretty great human being, but sometimes two great human beings together isn't quite enough to make it work."
