How To Throw The Best Bachelorette Party Ever, According To A Planner

February 15, 2017 by Justine Schwartz

The bachelorette party is meant to be one of the best times of the bride's life--certainly a memorable night or weekend, filled with lots of laughs and maybe even more drinks. So, why do so many bachelorette parties turn sour with drama? We sat down with Vegas Girls Night Out CEO Bri Steck (trust us--this woman *knows* bachelorettes) to get some expert tips for making the bach run as smoothly as possible.

Don't: split the bill at the table

"Men will come to go to Vegas and plan to spend $1,000 at the strip club or $3,000 on a bottle... women are a lot different," Bri explains. Most don't want their spending to exceed a certain amount for the weekend, so the first thing the maid of honor (or whoever is planning) should do is figure out how much everyone wants to spend, collect the money ahead of time and pay all the major bills and tabs during the weekend.

Bri suggests using this method, or hiring a company like hers to keep things smooth and drama free. "When the girls get here, they literally dont worry about a thing. They dont have to worry about tips, they don't have to worry about taxes, they don't have to worry about splitting the bill 8 ways. They can eat and walk away.

Well, that sounds perfect! What else did Bri have to say?

Do: get a limo

"I always recommend a limo," Bri explains. "People don't think about the limo, but it's not like a limo ride back where you live. You hang out the window, you have champagne, you get that shot for social [like, the one in front of the Vegas sign], the music is good. Sometime's there's a stripper pole!"

Fun!

Do: keep the party small

"It's very hard to organize a lot of people," Bri explains. "People have different amounts of money they can spend. I always think it's best to keep it between 5-10 people. Once you get over 15, that's a lot of people to wrangle!"

Do: pace yourself

"Don't over-do it on the first night or you'll ruin it for the second night!" Bri advises. "Pace yourself. For every drink, have a bottle of water." You'll definitely be able to enjoy yourself more the next day!
