Jennifer Garner just revealed that the paparazzi gave her and her family a hard time when she was going through her divorce with Ben Affleck in 2018. The 48-year-old actress recently spoke with Kelly Corrigan of PBS, sharing how she had to protect her family from the paparazzi.
Garner said that it has been difficult for her to accept the ways that the paparazzi harassed her and her family over the years.
She said, "For 10 years there were at the very least six cars, and often 20, outside of our house, and outside of school and at the pediatrician's. And you're begging them, 'Please step aside from the pediatrician's door. I have a sick kid, please.'"
Garner and Affleck share three children: Violet, 14, Seraphina, 11, and Samuel, 8.
The two got married in 2005, before separating in 2017 and divorcing the following year. Garner and Affleck seem to have a very amiable relationship still and share custody of their three children.
In her interview, Garner added that being in the public eye can have a toll on a relationship, particularly when news suggests there may be trouble in a relationship. She explained, "It becomes almost a self-fulfilling prophecy."
