While he’s been busy drumming up excitement for his eagerly anticipated new film, Deadpool & Wolverine, Hugh Jackman took a moment to share a sneak peek of his skincare regimen with fans.

The X-Men alum, 55, posted a selfie flaunting gold under-eye masks to hydrate his skin, and fans couldn’t help but rave about his “ageless” complexion and “glow.”

The newly single Jackman captioned his upload for his 31.8 million Instagram followers: “This is 55.”

Fans headed to the comments section to share their thoughts and praise the Les Misérables actor’s radiant look. “55 never looked better,” one wrote as another added: “Soooooooo handsome!!” Someone else gushed: “55 never looked so good!”

When it comes to his skincare regimen, in November 2013, Jackman revealed that he had surgery to remove basal-cell carcinoma from his nose, followed by another surgery in May 2014.

He predicted more issues ahead and, during the global premieres of X-Men: Days of Future Past, he wore a bandage on his nose and urged his Instagram followers to use sunscreen.

By April 2023, Jackman shared positive news on social media—his latest biopsy results were negative. These tests were a precaution after his doctor noticed potential symptoms of basal-cell carcinoma. Over the years, Jackman has had several skin cancer treatments and continues to advocate for the year-round use of high-SPF sunscreen.

Jackman’s new selfie comes as the Emmy winner continues to share sneak peeks, trailers, and tantalizing teasers as he gears up for the long-awaited release of Deadpool & Wolverine. Fans are thrilled to see him don the claws once more as the iconic mutant superhero, Wolverine. The action flick, also starring Ryan Reynolds as Deadpool, will hit US theaters on July 26th.

The Tony winner last portrayed the Marvel character in the 2017 film, Logan after appearing as the hero in eight other films from 2000 to 2022. The Australia native previously earned the “longest career as a live-action Marvel character” Guinness World Record.

Just last week, Jackman dropped a new trailer for the movie, and fans flocked to the comments section. “I can’t wait! Thank you, Hugh Jackman, for reprising your role as Wolverine,” one wrote, adding: “Even as a kid watching The X-Men on Saturday mornings, Wolverine was my favorite, and when you portrayed him for the live action movies, I fell in love with him even more!”

Someone else commented: “No one can replace this wolverine” as another concurred: “I love you @thehughjackman you returning as wolverine.” One other chimed in: “OMG I am so freaking excited about this movie.”

We’re marking our calendars for July 26th!
