Target and Wegmans Pull My Mochi Ice Cream Over Undeclared Pasteurized Egg Whites and Potential Allergen Concerns

The company started the recall when it was discovered that egg whites were missing from the ingredient list on the ice cream's packaging.  Following an inquiry, the FDA reported that this mistake stemmed from a brief failure in My Mochi's production system. The affected batches in this recall are identified by lot numbers 337-24 and 341-24.

The item is distinguishable by the My Mochi label and the Peach Mango flavor. It comes in an orange box containing six pieces, with a total weight of 7.5 ounces. You can find it in the freezer section.  

My Mochi and the FDA are advising customers who purchased the sorbet to take it back to the place of purchase for a complete refund. As My Mochi announced: "People who have an allergy or severe sensitivity to eggs, run the risk of serious or life-threatening allergic reaction if they consume these products."
