One “confused” fan on TikTok explained that they were “shook” by recent photos of Beckinsale and asked: “What happened to her?” The user added, in a recent video, echoing others: “The Kate Beckinsale that I remember is not the one that I see today.”

When Variety posted a TikTok video featuring Beckinsale on the red carpet, dazzling in her Christian Siriano dress and coordinating bubblegum platform shoes, fans flocked to the comments section to express their opinions. One fan wrote: “I audibly gasped when I realized this was Kate beckinsale. She looks unrecognizable. I hope she’s well.”
Another added: “Kate Beckinsale was absolutely beautiful in the Serendipity movie. I don’t recognize her here.” Someone else replied: “Kate Beckinsale?! Where????” One other concerned fan noted: “you cannot convince me that this is Kate Beckinsale. Some alleged that her changed appearance was due to “plastic surgery” and the use of “Ozempic” for weight loss.

The Click actress, who has previously denied undergoing plastic surgery, recently opened up about her weight loss on Instagram to her 5.6 million followers. Beckinsale explained that the weight loss was due to an esophageal tear, which hindered her ability to eat properly.
This condition was further worsened by stress and the sorrow of losing her stepfather, Roy Battersby, and her beloved cat, Clive, whom she considered her soulmate. Despite her explanation, some fans remain skeptical, speculating that she might be using Ozempic. Dr. Dennis Schimpf, a board-certified plastic surgeon based in Charleston, South Carolina, recently spoke with the Daily Mail and shared his insights.
"Current pictures of her clearly show a dramatic weight loss and loss of a dramatic amount of subcutaneous fat," Schimpf said regarding the Van Helsing alum. He went on: "She has good cheek fullness, as well as lip fullness, which I would think is a result of a filler or fat grafting. Given her lack of fat I would guess fillers are more likely the cause."
Dr. Gary Motykie, a board-certified plastic surgeon based in Beverly Hills, told the outlet that he believed that over the years, the fullness of Beckinsale's lips has fluctuated subtly.
He suggests this could be the result of using fillers or undergoing fat transfer procedures to preserve their smoothness and volume.
"At 51, it’s unlikely that non-invasive methods like microneedling or lasers alone would fully restore the natural fullness seen in her younger years, giving rise to some suspicion of filler due to her lips' "poofy" look," he said. Beckinsale has not responded to these fresh fan claims and accusations.
