During a sun–soaked getaway to the South of France, Orlando Bloom and Katy Perry were captured by paparazzi enjoying a refreshing swim in the ocean.
The newly surfaced snapshots, which quickly made their way to social media, sparked quite a buzz among fans.
On July 15th, pop culture publication Just Jared shared the pics in an Instagram post with their 1.5 million followers. Fans then headed to the comments section to share their thoughts.

While some IG users admitted they "didn't recognize" Bloom, 47, at first glance, others bluntly remarked that the Lord of the Rings actor had "aged" significantly since they last saw him. Others came to his defense and stressed that he and Perry, 39, were photographed at "bad angles" that didn't do the Pirates of the Caribbean star justice.
In the photos, Bloom donned a fitted cobalt blue long-sleeved top with matching Prada swim shorts, a black baseball cap and several string bracelets. As for the "Woman's World" singer, she opted for a chic black-and-white gingham bikini with black shades, a shiny gold statement necklace, matching dangly earrings and bracelets.
"Orlando is not aging well at all," one user wrote as another replied: "welcome to life. It happens to all of us." Someone else added: "I didn’t recognize him at first!" One other commented: "Damn Orlando bloom aged terribly" as an additional user chimed in: "Orlando is almost 50 yrs old. I think he’s holding up pretty well."
One fan stressed: "They look fantastic! Just an unflattering photo in the first one" as another agreed that they were "bad pictures." One other added: "he's 47..like what age do you think he looks? I don't see why people say he's not aging well."
In 2016, the love story of the "Teenage Dream" hitmaker and Gran Turismo alum began, marked by a few intermittent breaks before culminating in a romantic Valentine's Day engagement in 2019. Their wedding, initially set for the subsequent year, was delayed by the pandemic's unforeseen circumstances.
Perry and Bloom welcomed their daughter, Daisy Dove Bloom, in August 2020. Earlier this year, Bloom candidly shared on the podcast On Purpose With Jay Shetty that his relationship with Perry has challenged his instinct to "control." Bloom was formerly wed to model Miranda Kerr, with whom he has a 13-year-old son named Flynn. Perry, on the other hand, had a brief 14-month marriage to comedian Russell Brand.
"I think when you are in a deeply loving, committed relationship, you want to control or own or have and, you know, even just letting go of ideas, how things should be, or the idea of what intimacy or intimate moments are to you versus them, or whatever it may be," Bloom shared during his podcast appearance.
In an Instagram Live Q&A session this month, Perry gushed about her beau: "We've been together for a while, so I guess he’s got the magic in him." The former American Idol judge added: "No, it’s really his heart. And he gave me my greatest gift ever, Daisy Dove Bloom."
