Delete Space-Hogging Apps
Apps like Facebook and Snapchat are a lot of fun to use. But the harsh reality is that they are also space-hogging apps that hijack your phone’s data so that they can run properly. And when your phone data gets eaten away, it results in a device that runs slower than it normally would. The only solution in this case is to delete apps you either won’t miss or can use in alternate ways (you can always access Facebook via your browser).
Get Rid of Photos and Videos
All of those photos and videos that you’re saving on your phone are taking up SO much space. And chances are you can’t even remember the last time you went searching for that video clip from 10 years ago (that you can’t even remember taking). Either move those images to Dropbox or another Cloud service and delete them or just delete them and get on with the business of enjoying a faster phone.
Clean Out Safari’s Cache
The more websites you visit and the more search terms you look up, the more space on your phone you take up. Emptying the cache on your browser will help. To do this on Safari, go to Settings > Safari and and then tap on Clear History and Website Data. Like it never happened.
Restart Your Phone
You know that old joke about how you can solve so many tech problems by turning your device on and off? Well, in this case, turning your phone off from time to time, giving it a few minutes, and then turning it back on can give it a mini boost that it needs to work more smoothly.
