When you’re looking for ways to get your iPhone battery to last longer, you don’t always have to think too hard or spend money. Some of the simplest solutions can yield big battery-boosting results. And knowing which settings can actually increase battery power will put you in a better position to keep your iPhone working well for longer. But which setting deserves most of your attention? Tech Expert Burton Kelso at Integral On-Site Computer Service weighed in on why iPhones with this setting enabled hold charge so much longer.
Brightness SettingYour iPhone comes equipped with certain default settings that you can certainly change to your liking. But the brightness setting is one that Kelso recommends keeping exactly as it is. “Do you have the brightness set too high?” Kelso asks. “The brightness control on your iPhone is the biggest culprit for batteries not lasting long on these devices. The default setting for iPhone brightness should be sufficient for most people when using their phone. iPhones also have an auto brightness feature to help compensate. However sometimes people will adjust the brightness too high and this will suck the life out of your battery.”
And while you’re making adjustments for the sake of a longer-lasting iPhone battery, Kelso has two more suggestions that can make a difference.
