Instead of giving you a taste of a great product and leaving you wanting more, you’re about to get a full-on experience that will make you a more informed consumer (because let’s face it, you need to try a product more than three or four times to determine if it’s a keeper).

The New Ipsy Glam Bag Plus Offers Full-Size Products
If you haven’t signed up to receive a subscription beauty box, you don’t know what you’re missing out on. Imagine opening your door once a month to find a box filled with mystery samples of skincare, makeup, and nail products that you never knew existed (but that are about to become your number one favorites). It’s like celebrating your birthday each month.
Ipsy currently offers one subscription service. You can opt to pay $10 monthly or $110 yearly (and you can cancel either service at any time) and will receive five beauty products that arrive in a nifty makeup bag each month. The products you are sent come from incredible brands like Huda Beauty, Oribe, and Starlooks Cosmetics and include a nice mix of indie makeup and skincare alongside established brands.
As always, the products selected for you are based on a questionnaire that you fill out when you subscribe to Ipsy with details about your skin and makeup preferences. You can change up your preferences at any time and Ipsy will respond with products that reflect your current skincare and hair needs.
As great as that all sounds, Ipsy’s monthly offerings were a lot like its biggest competitor Birchbox: you could score amazing samples of products. In some cases, these samples were beefed up version of traditional small samples, but nonetheless, you were still getting samples.
The Ipsy Glam Bag Plus is about to change the beauty subscription game. Instead of providing samples that are created with the intention of letting subscribers try out products and get to know a brand, this move to full-size products puts Ipsy on the same level as a Sephora or Ulta. Ipsy will soon become a shopping destination for all of your beauty needs.
Of course, you should expect to pay more for this service. The upgrade will cost you $25 per month. For that new price, you’ll receive five full-size products each month and one fancy deluxe-size makeup bag every three months — but the products themselves are worth about $120, which means you’re still saving a ton of money in the long run.

As of right now, all Ipsy subscription members who have an active Glam Bag membership can upgrade to a Glam Bag Plus by adding their information to the Glam Bag Plus Waitlist. Ipsy has not announced an official launch date for the glam bag upgrade, but will be rolling it out over the next several months.
And if you are on the waitlist for the Glam Bag Plus, you’ll still continue to receive your Glam Bag samples each month until Ipsy can switch you over.
