Ivanka Trump was pretty high up in the White House when her father, Donald Trump, was president—she was one of his senior advisors, in fact. But now, as the former president prepares to run again in 2024, Ivanka, on the other hand, is reportedly trying to distance herself from the Trump Administration that once employed her. Body language expert Judi James explains that Ivanka’s recent wardrobe choices in particular have pointed to Ivanka’s lack of interest in being associated with Donald Trump’s presidential campaign.
Ivanka was a senior advisor to Donald Trump from 2017 until 2021, and also served as the director of the Office of Economic Initiatives and Entrepreneurship. But since then, it appears that she’s taken a step back from politics, often posting on Instagram in skimpy outfits and showing off her more “fun side,” and experts think she’s sending a message. Ivanka Is Using Clothing To Distance Herself From Trump
Ivanka Trump has quite a following on her own, without the additional spotlight from her father. In fact, she has over 7.5M Instagram followers. If you take a trip down memory lane and look back at some of her earlier Instagram photos from when Donald Trump was president, you'll notice quite a difference in what she was posting then compared to what she is posting now.

Most of Ivanka's posts from her time working for the Trump Administration feature her in more conservative outfits—high necks, long-sleeves, belted coats and jumpsuits. Now, however, Ivanka is no stranger to posting in bathing suits, skimpy two-piece sets, mini dresses, and tighter clothes. Body language expert Judi James thinks this could be Ivanka trying "to switch to reveal a less high status, less high-power side" of her life.

For example, on Nov. 26, Ivanka posted a photo of her in a two-toned purple bathing suit with a large cutout trying to wakeboard, and even attached photos and videos of her wiping out. This is not something the mother-of-three would've posted during her stint as senior advisor to Trump.
"There is something rather sweet about the way that Ivanka is shucking off her time as a political heavyweight and consequent courtroom witness to emerge in several completely contradictory cosplay roles that even included a surfer girl clad in a swimming costume," James continued.
"As a clue to the universe about any return to politics or even a clue to her father's return to politics, it does seem to look that she is putting as much time and space between herself and that era as possible."
Ivanka's Recent Appearance In Court
Part of why she may want to distance herself from the Trump Administration is how much trouble her father and his company, the Trump Organization, has been getting in lately. Donald Trump is on trial in New York for fraudulently inflating his net worth in order to secure more favorable loans, and on Nov. 8th, Ivanka was called to testify in court for her involvement in the issue.
However, even in court it seems that Ivanka may have been trying to separate herself from her father. While the former president is known for being loud, outspoken, and even rude in court, NY General Attorney Letitia James, who is filing the case against Donald Trump, called Ivanka "very, very nice" and "very friendly," after meeting her that day.
