People magazine reports that Ivanka Trump, 41, wants to keep her distance from her father, Donald Trump. Ivanka believes that she “can’t help” her father, 76, as he faces legal troubles, according to a source. These legal cases include the Fulton county election interference prob, the Manhattan District Attorney’s investigation into the hush-money settlement (for which he was just indicted for), and more. Instead, Trump’s eldest daughter is focusing on her family, and pursuing her “business” and “design.”

Ivanka Trump Says She "Can't Help" Her Father Anymore With His Legal Troubles
Now that the grand jury has voted to indict the former president over an alleged hush money payment made to adult film actress Stormy Daniels in 2016, Ivanka is continuing to keep her distance from her father. A source told People, "Even though Ivanka loves her dad, she knows how impossible he can be." However, another person close to the former first daughter claims that there is no tension in their relationship. They say that she is simply focused on raising her children and building a new life in Miami.
The source says Ivanka knows that there is nothing she can do to help with her father's legal problems. "Donald does what he wants, and she can't help him now," the source says. "His help is in the hands of his lawyers and advisers. She is no longer working in that capacity." This is shortly after a legal analyst says that the former president will likely "sell out" Ivanka if he's indicted. The grand jury just voted to indict Trump on Thursday, March 30.
The initial source says that Ivanka "is recreating her business life and raising her children which are her priorities. She is through with politics." After her father announced he was running for president again, she made clear that she would not be involved at all in his campaign.
"This time around, I am choosing to prioritize my young children and the private life we are creating as a family. I do not plan to be involved in politics. While I will always love and support my father, going forward I will do so outside the political arena." she said in a statement issued hours after he announced his 2024 campaign.
Ivanka has spent recent months traveling with her family, according to insiders. "She misses her active social life in New York but is enjoying Miami and all that it has to offer," they say. "She has started over and pursues interests in business, design, and being involved in the lives of her children."
Another source, who was close with the former first daughter, told People that Ivanka misses her New York social life. "She basically wants a new life to compensate for what she lost when she spent four years in her father's Washington. She misses her active social life and [a] group of friends," the insider says. Since Trump lost the 2020 election, Ivanka and her husband Jared Kushner, 42, have been trying to live private lives in Surfside, Florida. They live about 90 minutes to the south of the former president's private Mar-a-Lago Club in Palm Beach, Florida.
