Jennifer Lopez and Alex Rodriguez broke up in March after a two-year-long engagement, and it seems that there’s no chance of reunion in the future (or even a friendship) with the 52-year-old singer unfollowing her baseballer ex on social media and wiping her account of pictures of them together. While the split was reported to be amicable at the time, things have evidently taken a turn for the worse as Lopez moves on with Ben Affleck.
Rodriguez, who used to be a mainstay on Lopez’s social media, was effectively removed from her public history, as eagle eyed fans spotted that images had been deleted on Saturday. While some pictures containing other family members still remain on her page, sweet snaps of Lopez and her former beau at the Biden inauguration and Valentine’s Day are noticeably missing.
Whatever happened between the pair seems to be one sided, as Rodriguez still follows his famous ex on social media, keeping a collection of images from their time together as a couple on public display. Perhaps Lopez is simply hoping to move on and solidify her future with Affleck, as reports have continued to emerge that the pair are taking things very seriously, and may even be considering moving in together.
Lopez and Rodriguez split up back in March after rumors of infidelity on the 46-year-old sport star’s part began to emerge. While Rodriguez denied the claims, Lopez reportedly had a low tolerance for the allegations. “Jennifer feels she just can’t trust Alex and she doesn’t want to be embarrassed any more,” a source close to the singer shared after the split. Another source revealed at the time, “whether or not he has cheated doesn't matter. She won't tolerate the fear of it in the air between them.”
Regardless of her relationship with Rodriguez, Lopez’s romance with Affleck seems to be heating up, with multiple sources sharing that they “are madly in love,” and want to do everything they can to make this work.” If that means removing her ex from social media, then so be it. The pair also recently almost had an accidental encounter with one another as they both celebrated their birthdays in July in Saint-Tropez, partying on yachts just miles apart.
