Jared Leto is well known for his method acting skills and the 49-year-old is back at it again filming for a new role and looking completely unrecognizable as he munched away on a banana on the streets of New York City. Leto, who has dramatically transformed his appearance for roles before, showed off a completely new face for his part in the upcoming Apple TV+ program WeCrashed with co-star Anne Hathaway at his side.

Leto can be seen wearing a prosthetic nose and dark colored contacts, styling his hair in a mid length cut hidden under a dark blue beanie. The actor will be playing WeWork founder Adam Neumann in the upcoming series, with Hathaway playing the role of his wife, Rebekah Neumann. The show will cover the rise and fall of Neumann and his wife after the creation of WeWork, with Hathaway and Leto both working to executive produce the program.
As they strolled the streets of Astoria, the pair could go largely unnoticed as Leto ditched his typically long wavy locks for a much shorter, darker cut. Enjoying his banana and speaking animatedly with Hathaway, Leto also rocked baggie jeans and a gray hoodie paired with a black tee shirt. Hathaway was also undercover as they filmed, with an oversized green coat and gray beanie dramatically changing her look.
No air date has been announced yet as filming for WeCrashed has just begun, but we’re excited to see Leto’s new look in action. No stranger to dramatic makeup and hair transformations as seen in Dallas Buyers Club and Suicide Squad, a new nose and plainer hairdo is all in a days work for the seasoned actor. Looks like we’ll be getting an Apple TV+ subscription!
