Jason Sudeikis Is Hoping To Get Back Together With Olivia Wilde
A source told Heat Magazine that Sudeikis "always hoped that she'd be back" once her fling with Styles fizzled out. The former Saturday Night Live has been reassuring Wilde that she is "amazing and talented" since her breakup with Styles. Sudeikis' friends, however, do not approve of them getting back together.
Close friends of Sudeikis are begging him to stop chasing after Wilde. "The problem is, Jason's friends are worried that while Olivia's enjoying the attention and praise, she's still rebounding from Harry. They worry he's just wasting his time," the insider said.
Apparently, Sudeikis thinks that the duo can get back to where they were before they split but his friends don't think that Wilde would ever rekindle their relationship. "It is great to see them playing nice, but he is still in a vulnerable place and Olivia shouldn't give him false hope,” the source explained.
Recently, the estranged couple was spotted sharing a hug in Los Angeles despite their ongoing comparative custody battle. The Booksmart director sported a yellow varsity sweatshirt with Adidas sneakers and jeans. Sudeikis also opted for comfort in an off-white hoodie, navy blue pants, and a baseball cap. Wilde and Sudeikis' legal dispute over custody was very contentious. Sudeikis even served his ex-fiancée court documents while she was on stage at CinemaCon presenting her film Don't Worry Darling in April 2022. Yikes!
Jason Sudeikis And Olivia Wilde Relationship Timeline
Wilde called off her seven-year engagement with Sudeikis, with whom she shares two kids, in the fall of 2020. She quickly moved on with the As It Was singer, Harry Styles. The duo started dating after working on her famous film, Don't Worry Darling. Even though fans were critical of the timeline of their relationship, Wilde denied cheating on Sudeikis or leaving him for the former One Direction member.
"The complete horses–t idea that I left Jason for Harry is completely inaccurate," she told Vanity Fair in September 2022. "Our relationship was over long before I met Harry. Like any relationship that ends, it doesn't end overnight. I evolved a lot between when I was 27 and 35. I found myself as a director. And I think I found myself as an individual. "Sometimes when you evolve, you evolve out of relationships that were based on an earlier version of yourself," Wilde continued.
Wilde said that what further proved that she and Sudeikis worked better as friends than a couple was their struggles "towards the beginning" of the COVID-19 pandemic. Their relationship "was no longer beneficial" to their kids. "We could be better parents as friends who live in different houses," she explained, pointing out, "Haven't the kids been through enough?"
"Sadly, it was not something that was entirely surprising to me. I mean, there's a reason I left that relationship," Wilde said of the "vicious" stunt Sudeikis pulled, springing court documents on her while promoting Don't Worry Darling. "Unfortunately, I wasn't that shocked. There's a reason that I didn't stay in that relationship. Unfortunately, that was consistent with my experience of the relationship."
As for Wilde and Styles' relationship, they reportedly called it quits in November 2022. A source close to Wilde at the time said, "There is no bad blood between them. Harry didn’t dump Olivia or vice versa. This is the longest relationship Harry’s ever had, so clearly they have a special bond." We guess only time will tell if Wilde and Sudeikis will ever find their way back to each other!
