“If there’s one good thing about the pandemic, besides getting Chrissy Teigen out of our lives, it’s …,” Davidson began a joke during the show's popular "Weekend Update" segment.
The audience laughed at Davidson's joke, implying that he is not alone in is dislike for the model and influencer following the recent scandal.
Several old tweets of Teigen's have resurfaced, shedding light on cyber bullying she took part in a decade ago. It turns out that she had sent cruel messages to other women on social media, even going as far as to tell people they should harm themselves.
In 2011, Teigen wrote to TV personality Courtney Stodden on Twitter, "Go to sleep. Forever."
Also in 2011, Teigen had Tweeted, "Lindsay [Lohan] adds a few more slits to her wrist when she sees Emma Stone," referring to the fact that Lohan had admitted to cutting herself in the past.
Two years later, she called Teen Mom star Farrah Abraham "a whore."
Teigen, who shares two young children with husband John Legend and has been married since 2013, has now publicly apologized for her bullying.
"Not a lot of people are lucky enough to be held accountable for all their past bullshit in front of the entire world," she wrote on Twitter. "I’m mortified and sad at who I used to be. I was an insecure, attention seeking troll. I am ashamed and completely embarrassed at my behavior but that is nothing compared to how I made Courtney feel.
"I have worked so hard to give you guys joy and be beloved and the feeling of letting you down is nearly unbearable, truly. These were not my only mistakes and surely won’t be my last as hard as I try but god I will try!!"
