Jenna Bush Hager surprised fans with an unexpected confession when speaking with Andy Cohen on Watch What Happens Live last week. The Today co-host, 41, doubled down on her habit of forgoing underwear (which her co-anchor Hoda Kotb discussed on a previous episode of their talk show).
She stressed that it was Kotb, 58, who first broke the news of her now notorious wardrobe choice, and not her. During her appearance, the former first daughter also discussed her parents’ reaction to this, and also divulged that she went underwear-free to a recent dinner with King Charles and Camilla, Queen Consort.

Jenna Bush Hager Opens Up About Her Commando Habit
When Bush Hager was asked by a viewer how her parents— former president George Bush and former First Lady Laura Bush— reacted to the news, she replied, “I’m sure my parents were not thrilled” with a laugh. The mom of three insisted that she’s a “lady” and would never have made her commando habit public, noting it was all Kotb. “People think I shared that with the world,” Bush Hager said on the show. She then reminded everyone watching that Kotb was actually the one to share on Today.
Kotb, who was sitting beside Bush Hager on Cohen’s stage, added, “But she doesn’t have any panty lines and all those things that you need to worry about!” Earlier this month, Kotb shocked the audience of Today with Hoda and Jenna and told them that that her cohost “never wears underwear.” She continued, “I was a little surprised because Jenna and I know a lot about each other.” Kotb said she learned of Bush Hager’s tendency to go commando after the two shared a dressing area before going on air, giving her a “little shock.”

“[Hoda] said, ‘Do you wash your clothes’ and I said ‘Yes, I do.’ But it’s also not like I’m sharing your jeans with you. Though I do steal Savannah [Guthrie]’s pants on occasion,” Bush Hager explained, then asking Kotb, “And I do want to borrow that red suit of yours. Can I?” Kotb replied, “Yes, you can, anytime.” Bush Hager joked, “I’ll wear underwear.”
To further back up her point, Bush Hager told Cohen that she didn’t even wear underwear when meeting King Charles several months back (then Prince Charles) on the evening before Queen Elizabeth II passed away. Bush Hager said she was there to interview now Queen Consort Camilla and joined the two in Scotland for dinner. When Cohen asked her if she did or didn’t’t wear anything under her dress, she shook her said no. “It was a beautiful tight dress. It would have shown,” she said to defend her memorable choice.
