Jenna Bush Hager Tells 'Today' What She Loves Most About Read With Jenna

Four years after launching Read With Jenna, Jenna told Today what she loves most about the book club, saying: "It's the community of readers who are so engaged, and the community of authors who I have gotten to know." She went on to say that her relationship with reading has changed since launching the book club, saying: "Now that I'm reading for work, I have to still find that joy (of reading) – because it definitely is on my to-do list as opposed to my escape. I try to remember how lucky I am."

"Four years ago when we started Read With Jenna, we hoped to build a community of people who wanted to read here and there. I don’t think we ever could have imagined that we’d have all of these New York Times bestsellers and a community that’s so engaged and compassionate," she added.

Jenna Bush Hager's Read With Jenna March Recommendation

FYI, Black Candle Women by Diane Marie Brown, who was also at the event, is Jenna's March 2023 book club pick, and it's described as a family drama about three generations of Montrose women and a magical curse.

According to the official Read With Jenna Instagram account: "Their quiet lives are thrown into turmoil when seventeen-year-old granddaughter, Nickie, brings a boy home, forcing them to face a decades-old family curse: anyone who they fall in love with will die. This magical story is full of voodoo and hoodoo, love and loss, and the importance of family through thick and thin." We're hooked already!
