It’s no secret that Jennifer Aniston has been in support of the COVID-19 vaccination from the get-go, and the 52-year-old actress recently revealed that she has been the target of harsh criticism for her stance. In a recent interview, Aniston revealed the rude comments she received after having previously called out anti-vaxxers, sharing that she was “bullied.”

Speaking to The Hollywood Reporter in a new interview published last week, Aniston said, “You know, someone literally called me a ‘liberal Vax-hole’ the other day. I don’t understand the disconnect right now, being bullied for wanting people not to be sick? I mean, that’s what we’re talking about.”

Back in August, Aniston said in an interview with InStyle, “There’s still a large group of people who are anti-vaxxers or just don’t listen to the facts. It’s a real shame.” She then told the publication, “It’s tricky because everyone is entitled to their own opinion — but a lot of opinions don’t feel based in anything except fear or propaganda.”

Naturally, anti-vax fans were not thrilled with her take, leading to some backlash which sparked Aniston to take to social media in a plea for people to “care about more than just ourselves.” However, the actress stuck to her guns and doubled down on the take in her most recent interview, briefly touching on the vaccination before moving on to her thoughts on people’s fascination with her personal life.

Aniston has been open about her COVID precautions throughout the pandemic as well, revealing to The Hollywood Reporter, “I think I’ve been to five restaurants [since the pandemic began], and the same ones because they required vaccinations.” Yet she remains optimistic that things will soon improve although she has been enjoying her downtime, saying, “I love to work, but I also love to not work. I’m really OK. And this may be pandemic-related, because I went through a period of working nonstop with maybe a month or two off here and there for almost 25 years.”
