Jennifer Aniston Opens Up About The ‘Basic’ Diet She Follows To Maintain Her Toned Physique: ‘I Noticed A Big Difference’

Jennifer Aniston, 54, hasn’t been shy about revealing what she eats to maintain her incredible toned physique at 54 years old. She may have broken our hearts when she revealed that the ‘Jennifer Aniston salad’ that went viral on TikTok last year was not actually the salad she famously ate every day on the set of Friends, but we do know what she does eat. And it’s just as healthy as we could have imagined!

From what the Murder Mystery 2 actress has said in the past, it seems like she is very consistent and strict with her meals in terms of how often she eats and exactly what she eats. She previously revealed to Radio Times that she does “intermittent fasting,” which she credits for helping her maintain her incredible figure.

What Does Jennifer Aniston Eat?

According to the Friends alum, her intermittent fasting means "no food in the morning," adding, "I noticed a big difference in going without solid food for 16 hours." During the eight-hour window when she is allowed to eat, the Just Go With It actress previously revealed that her meals are pretty "basic." She told Elle back in 2016 that her lunch is always "some form of vegetables or salad with protein – pretty basic." She went on to say that dinner is also pretty similar, usually consisting of "vegetables or salad with protein."

Her meals may be simple, but that doesn’t mean they aren’t well-thought-out. She previously revealed in an interview that she likes to plan ahead to make sure there is always something healthy and nutritious for her to eat even on her busiest days.

"I always have cut raw vegetables in a Tupperware container. Hard-boiled eggs are always great to have in the fridge, as well as a big head of butter lettuce. I also include protein, such as pulled chicken," she previously told Yahoo Food.

Jennifer Aniston Talks About Moderation

While it may seem like Aniston doesn’t ever stray from her strict diet, she previously revealed that that's not always the case. Speaking to People magazine about "moderation" in 2016, the same year she was named the publication's 'most beautiful woman,' she said, "I'm not as strict as I was," adding, "I thought, 'Just give yourself moderation.'"

She went on to say that we should all be mindful about what we are consuming, telling the mag: "We've got to really be conscious and mindful around what we put inside our bodies. And how we sleep and how we eat and how we take care of ourselves."

The Morning Show star also previously opened up about her "general philosophy" when it comes to her diet, telling Yahoo Food: "I don't let eating habits get out of control where I need a reset button. My general philosophy is to eat healthy. It's pretty clear: Eat as much organic fruits and veggies as you can, keep sugar [intake] low, drink tons and tons of water and get good sleep." But does she indulge every now and again? Of course she does! "I allow myself to indulge once in a while... I don't give myself any rules anymore," she confessed.
