Courteney Cox Resumes Her Friendship With Brad Pitt, With Jennifer Aniston's Blessing
Brad and Courteney had a close friendship when he and Jennifer were together, with that friendship understandably fizzling out after he and Angelina Jolie started dating. However, now that Brangelina is no more, it's being reported that Courteney and the F1 actor, 60, have gotten closer again – all with Jen's approval, if we are to believe reports.
"Brad and Courteney were really tight when he was married to Jen. They used to spend a lot of time together, but once Brad left Jen for Angelina, that friendship fizzled out," an insider clarified to In Touch, as per Marca, before adding: "Recently, they've picked up right where they left off."
Of course, Brad and Courteney got the Office Christmas Party actress's blessing before resuming their friendship, with the insider saying: "Courteney wouldn't have resumed a friendship with Brad without Jen's OK. After Brad's divorce from Angelina, when he and Jen reconnected, she let her friends know it was fine to hang out with him again."
Brad Pitt And Courteney Cox Reportedly Go On Double Dates With Their Respective Partners As Jennifer Aniston Feels 'Pushed Aside'
However, even though the Murder Mystery 2 actress has given her friend her blessing to hang out with her ex, she reportedly didn't expect them to hit it off so well. And she doesn't seem to be too happy that Brad and girlfriend Ines de Ramon are going on double dates with Courteney and her partner Johnny McDaid.
"Brad is really keen on setting up these double dates," the insider revealed. "But Jen didn't expect Brad and Courteney to get this close again, and it's left her feeling pushed aside."
Brad and Johnny have reportedly hit it off too, which could mean that these doubles dates could become even more frequent! "Jen is doing her best to stay composed, but she didn't anticipate this level of closeness between Brad and Courteney," the insider continued, adding: "She's mostly frustrated with Brad for his lack of awareness, but Courteney's involvement hasn't been easy to handle either."
