After touching the world with her latest heartfelt interview about fertility struggles and being true to herself, Jennifer Aniston is warming fans’ hearts yet again— this time with a sweet Instagram post dedicated to her late father. In an upload for her 40.9 million followers this week, the Friends icon, 53, shared several photos with and of her father, John Anthony Aniston, who passed away at the age of 89 on November 11, 2022.
Aniston’s first image was a black-and-white snap of her father holding her as a child, followed by a colored, 70s-looking pic of her and her dad when she was a young girl, a more modern photo of her in a black dress beside her father at an event, another more recent shot of the duo while sitting at a table, and lastly, a headshot pic of Mr. Aniston.

Aniston Honors Her Father On IG: ‘One Of The Most Beautiful Humans I Ever Knew’
The Morning Show actress sweetly wrote a message to her dad in her Instagram caption, “Sweet papa… John Anthony Aniston, You were one of the most beautiful humans I ever knew.” She continued, “I am so grateful that you went soaring into the heavens in peace – and without pain.” The Golden Globe winner then highlighted the significance of her father’s passing date, “And on 11/11 no less! You always had perfect timing. That number will forever hold an even greater meaning for me now.” She concluded her note, along with a dove and broken heart emoji, “I’ll love you till the end of time, Don’t forget to visit.”
Mr. Aniston was an actor, like his famous daughter, who was best known for his portrayal of Victor Kiriakis on NBC’s popular daytime drama series Days of Our Lives. He originated the part in July of 1985, and continued to star in the series for 37 years until his death. The Greek-born, American star also appeared on numerous hit TV shows throughout his acting career, including Gilmore Girls, Star Trek: Voyager, The West Wing, Mad Men, and many more.

Many of Jennifer Aniston and John Aniston’s fans headed to her post to leave comments in remembrance, and to commemorate the late actor’s life and legacy. “He was such a huge part of my childhood,” one user commented, adding, “Victor Forever.” Another wrote that Jennifer made “such a beautiful tribute” to her father as others left thousands of heart emojis in his honor.
Jennifer’s famous friends also left sweet words, with Reese Witherspoon commenting, “Sending you all my angels,” with a dove and red heart emoji, “I love you Sister.” Lisa Kudrow and Ryan Reynolds added red hearts while Lily Collins wrote, “Sending all the love and light possible and hugs I could possibly give.” Rob Lowe commented, “Sending you so much love,” and Jennifer Lopez added, “sending you love and strength.”

Back in June, John Aniston was honored with the Daytime Emmys Lifetime Achievement Award for his role on Days of Our Lives. Though he wasn’t able to attend the event and receive the award in-person, his daughter Jennifer accepted it on his behalf. “This is truly a special moment for me,” Aniston said while accepting the award.
“It’s an opportunity to not only pay tribute to a true icon in the daytime television world, but it’s also a chance to recognize the lifelong achievements of a great and well-respected actor, who also happens to be my dad.” She added, “For over 30 years, his dedication to that show has gained him respect and admiration of his fellow actors, deep friendships and thrilled millions of fans around the world. His career is literally the definition of lifetime achievement.”
