Jennifer Aniston became famous overnight when Friends premiered in 1994. She and her 5 other costars were quickly some of the most famous actors and actresses in Hollywood, and are still most famously known for their characters in the sitcom. Jennifer Aniston, though, didn’t want to just be known for being Rachel Green, so in her youth, she was quick to sign any movie contract passed her way. Now, though, she’s revealed that she regrets saying yes to some of the movies, and feels twinges of “shame” over some of her roles. Keep reading for more details

Jennifer Aniston's Impressive Filmography

Aniston starred in Friends as Rachel Green for 10 glorious years, but after it was over, she didn't want to be pigeon-holed into a sitcom actress or only remembered as Rachel. So, after Friends ended in 2004, she quickly began taking on more work in both movies and film and across many different genres. Between 2004 and 2010, she starred in 13 movies, and while some of them were hits—Marley & Me or He's Just Not That Into You—others were box office flops that are barely remembered today. It's tough to walk that line of wanting to be a versatile actress with a wide range and being more thoughtful about the projects you sign onto, but luckily, it seems like Aniston now has it down to a science.

Jennifer Aniston Feels 'Shame' Over Some Of The Movies She's Made

Looking back at some of the movies she starred in, the 55-year-old admitted that some of them were probably not the best career move. "There was a time when I worked and worked and worked," she recalled of those years at the end of and following the end of Friends. "I loved it. I'm trying to be better at that. I'm a bit of a people pleaser. I've got to stop." Don't we all!

"Some of the movies I've made, I bow my head in slight shame over," she told Harper's Baazar in 2016. It seems like now she's focusing more on quality in the projects she's choosing to work on, like starring in The Morning Show with Reese Witherspoon, or making hilarious murder-mystery comedies with her new bestie Adam Sandler. Luckily, she's just as much America's sweetheart at 55 as she was at 25. We love you Jen!
