Fans are not happy with Jennifer Aniston's new look
Many viewers of The Morning Show are calling out the We’re the Millers star for getting a bit more than a touch up on her face. "I'm watching the new season of 'The Morning Show' & I can't get past Jennifer Aniston's face! What did she do?... made it almost unrecognizable and weird," one user tweeted.
One fan said, "It doesn't even look like her," while another added, "She looks like a freak, I can’t watch her anymore and I used to LOVE Jennifer Aniston. Getting 'work done' and messing up your face are not the same thing."
But others were quick to defend the Murdery Mystery star, reminding people that faces change with age. "Um, she's getting older, like everyone," another tweet read.
"I don’t know why people are s***ing on Jennifer Aniston. She's 54 years old," another added, claiming people think she's gotten plastic surgery because they don't know what natural aging looks like anymore. "Your perspective of the aging process has been altered by plastic surgery and makeup artists."
Jennifer Aniston speaks out against plastic surgery
The actress has admitted to having two different nose jobs in a People interivew, both to fix her deviated septum, but other than that, she's repeatedly denied any use of cosmetic surgery. Yet fans don't believe her, and a plastic surgeon even confirmed their suspicions: "She definitely had surgery," Dr. Sam Rizk told The New York Post in response to The Morning Show season premiere. "The type that improved her cheeks, jowls, and neck."
Though Aniston has yet to comment on this latest accusation of cosmetic surgery, she has been open about her experiences with and thoughts on plastic surgery in the past. In 2007 she told People magazine about her first surgery: "I had [a deviated septum] fixed—best thing I ever did. I slept like a baby for the first time in years." And again in 2018 Aniston revealed to US Weekly that she had a touchup to "correct a deviated septum that was incorrectly done over 12 years ago."
But other than those two instances, the Just Go With It actress told People, "As for all the other [rumors about surgery], as boring as it sounds, it's still mine. All of it. Still mine."
Aniston has even taken it a step further, condemning the use of plastic surgery. In an interview with Yahoo Beauty in 2015, she said, “There is this pressure in Hollywood to be ageless. I think what I have been witness to, is seeing women trying to stay ageless… I am grateful to learn from their mistakes,” she said. We hope she isn’t speaking poorly about longtime friend and Friends costar, Courtney Cox, who has been used as an example for plastic surgeries gone wrong.
“I see them and my heart breaks,” Aniston continued. “I think, 'oh God, if only you knew how much older you look.' They are trying to stop the clock, and all you can see is an insecure person who won’t let themselves just age."
Take your own advice, Jen! We think you look gorgeous at any age.
