Matthew Perry‘s untimely passing has left a deep impact on his fans and admirers, including his beloved Friends cast members. Jennifer Aniston, one of his closest co-stars, has been actively preserving his legacy on social media along with fans since his  death on October 28th at age 54.

According to Page Six, reports suggest that Aniston was among the earliest attendees at Perry’s funeral at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Hollywood Hills, paying her last respects to her friend. Accompanied by her security team, the Morning Show actress, 54, arrived on November 3rd to pay her final tribute.

Jennifer Aniston Was Reportedly One Of The First Attendees At Matthew Perry's Funeral

As captured by aerial paparazzi shots, she met up with her colleagues Courteney Cox, David Schwimmer, and Lisa Kudrow outside the venue. The four of them walked in together, and Matt LeBlanc eventually joined them later on.

Donning all-black ensembles, the actors ascended towards the cemetery. Perry's family members, such as his mother Suzanne Perry, father John Bennett Perry, and stepfather Keith Morrison, were also in attendance.

One source told The Daily Mail that Aniston "kept to herself" after entering. Aniston and Perry, as fans know, were close friends on-screen as iconic characters Rachel Green and Chandler Bing, and off-screen as well.

Another insider allegedly told Page Six that "out of the remaining five" main Friends cast members, "Jen and Courteney are reeling the most, and Jen is probably the one who is struggling most acutely."

The source added: "It’s a second massive loss in less than a year, with the one-year anniversary of her dad’s death just around the corner." They went on, noting that this additional recent loss of Perry "completely knocked [Aniston] off her feet."

The star of Fools Rush In shared a deep bond with Aniston, recognizing her as the one who extended "the most" support among their fellow cast members when he was battling substance abuse.

Fans recently shared a resurfaced 2004 interview of Aniston on social media, where she was seen breaking down in tears due to the fear of losing Perry. "He struggled and we didn’t know," Aniston told Diane Sawyer in the interview. "We weren’t equipped to deal with it. Nobody had ever dealt with that."

On October 28th, Perry was discovered deceased, having allegedly suffered a cardiac arrest and subsequently drowned at his Los Angeles residence. Perry's recent passing has been surrounded by a veil of uncertainty, however, a newly released death certificate has shed some light on the circumstances surrounding his death.

The certificate, which has been acquired by multiple news outlets, discloses that the actor was discovered unconscious in his hot tub at 4:17 p.m. on Saturday, October 28th and died shortly thereafter. While an autopsy was performed, the cause of death remains undetermined and is pending further investigation, according to the CDC's guidelines on filing death certificates.

The certificate also indicates that there were no underlying health issues or injuries that could have caused Perry's passing, as E! News reported.

Although it was initially predicted that it could take up to six months for toxicology reports to become available, a former medical examiner suggested that these results may have already been received. Nonetheless, a supplemental report will be added to the death certificate once the cause of death is established.

After Perry's death, a joint statement was issued by Aniston, Cox, 59, Kudrow, 60, Schwimmer, 57, and LeBlanc, 56, all of whom expressed their deep sorrow and devastation.

"There is so much to say, but right now we’re going to take a moment to grieve and process this unfathomable loss," they wrote. "In time we will say more, as and when we are able. For now, our thoughts and our love are with Matty’s family, his friends, and everyone who loved him around the world."
