Jennifer Lopez isn’t the only one to complain about Jennifer Garner‘s heavy involvement in her marriage (or should we now say former marriage) to Ben Affleck.
Lopez and Affleck are now officially divorced, so Garner no longer has to help her ex-husband deal with the “Love Don’t Cost a Thing” singer. It's no secret that the 13 Going on 30 actress was helping the Batman v Superman actor during his relationship with the JLo Beauty mogul, and was also very supportive while they were going through their divorce. However, now that their divorce has been finalized, Garner's boyfriend is hoping that she will take a "step back," according to the Daily Mail, and be involved in her ex-husband's life a little less.
According to an insider who spoke to the Daily Mail, the Cali Group CEO isn't making too many demands about how the Deadpool & Wolverine actress spends her time, but he wants to "figure out" how to move forward now that she isn't playing "marriage counselor" to her ex-husband and the Shotgun Wedding actress.
John Miller Wants Jennifer Garner 'For Himself'
"John is trying to deal with Ben and Jen's relationship by mostly staying quiet, but it's very hard to do that," a source told the Daily Mail. "He knows that Ben has to be around as a father and he is more than OK with that, but he wants to be the man in the relationship."
"John only talks about Ben when Jen talks about Ben or when their kids talk about him. He doesn't bring him up unprompted," the insider continued, adding: "John respects Ben, but less is more because John wants Jen for himself. He still needs to figure out how to compartmentalize it all."

Back in September, an insider told RadarOnline that Miller was struggling to cope with Garner's involvement in her ex's marriage. "John is at the end of his rope with what he considers Jen's 'unfathomable' support for her ex-hubby while ignoring him in the process," an insider told RadarOnline at the time.
And it went both ways too, as the Hustlers alum also made no secret of her unhappiness regarding Affleck and Garner's friendship. "J-Lo was making a point that she was humiliated by Jen and Ben's ridiculous closeness. Don't think John didn't feel the same way," the insider continued at the time, adding: "John is still incredulous that the woman he was close to marrying pushed him aside to focus on repairing her ex's love life. How is he supposed to feel?"
Back in June, another source told the Daily Mail that Miller "cares deeply for Ben and sympathizes with what he is going through with Jennifer," but has always felt that his girlfriend shouldn't "be the one to fix her ex-husband's issues with his current wife." They went on to add: "That makes no sense to anyone."
