Jennifer Garner doesn’t want her kids meeting their dad’s new girlfriend. Garner’s ex-husband, Ben Affleck, has been dating Knives Out actress Ana de Armas for a month, and is ready to introduce the three kids he shares with Garner to his new partner. But Garner told Us Weekly that she feels the relationship is too new to get the kids involved just yet.
Despite this, Garner is reportedly approving of Affleck’s new relationship. A source told the publication that the 47-year-old actress considers her ex-husband a friend as they co-parent their children.
Jennifer Garner and Ben Affleck were married from 2005 to 2018. During that time, they had three kids: Violet, age 14, Seraphina, age 11, and Samuel, age 8.
The couple announced their separation in 2015 before finalizing the divorce three years later. It seems they have remained friends throughout the process and in the time that has followed, as they share responsibilities for their kids and have even been seen in public together.
Affleck. 47, has been dating 31-year-old actress Ana de Armas since the beginning of March, after the two filmed the upcoming psychological thriller Deep Water together. So far their relationship has traveled to destinations including Cuba and Costa Rica, and now the couple is reportedly in self-isolation together through the COVID-19 pandemic.
The relationship seems to be on track for the long-term. Affleck has reportedly already considered having children with de Armas. He is understanding of his ex-wife's hesitation about introducing their children to his new girlfriend and will work with her to prepare the kids for the future meeting. Garner and de Armans have met before and are friendly to each other.
