Jennifer Lawrence surprised the world when it was discovered that she and Cooke Maroney had secretly tied the knot in October 2019. And now we are learning even more things about the couple’s secret nuptials, as the 33-year-old Oscar-winning actress confessed that she found her wedding to the art dealer, who is the father to her almost-two-year-old son Cy, extremely “stressful.”

Lawrence, who has been nominated for a number of different awards this awards season for her role in No Hard Feelings, made the shocking and candid confession during an interview with E! at the Golden Globes on Sunday, January 7th.

Jennifer Lawrence Opens Up About Her 2019 Wedding

The Longines ambassador married Maroney back in October 2019 in a lavish ceremony at the Belcourt of Newport mansion in Rhode Island, followed by a reception with 150 guests that included A-listers such as Adele, Amy Schumer, and her Silver Linings Playbook and American Hustle co-star, Robert De Niro, among so many others.

Although the Causeway star didn't tell the press that her wedding was happening at the time, a few details about the ceremony and the A-list guests were revealed. But nothing has been as candid as Lawrence's recent red carpet confession!

The Don't Look Up actress joked that being a bride was "awful" because of the stress associated with weddings, especially the pressure that comes with making sure the guests are having a good time. "It's so stressful. You're not having fun. You're just like, 'is that person having fun?'" she began.

"I'll never forget – I was freaking out about the guests being cold, and all of my friends were lying. They're like, 'nobody's cold, nobody's cold, everything's fine, everything's fine.' My mom was like, 'it's freezing out there. Your grandmother almost died.'"

J-Law said she was particularly concerned about the Goodfellas star having a good time during the rehearsal dinner, adding: "I looked over and I saw Bob, who doesn't know anybody, and he's kind of wandering around, and I immediately was like, 'no, this isn't what he wants to be doing. I don't want him here.'"

She then recalled actually asking the Taxi Driver actor to leave at one point, adding: "So I went over and whispered, I was like, 'go home.' And he was nice – he talked to my parents and was polite – but I was like, 'go.'" She admitted that once he had left the rehearsal dinner, it "genuinely made me feel better."
