Jennifer Lawrence, awards ceremonies, and Dior gowns go together like peanut butter and jelly – and the 33-year-old actress served another award-winning look courtesy of the iconic French fashion house for the 81st Annual Golden Globe Awards that took place in Los Angeles on Sunday, January 7th.

The Dior ballgown she wore to collect her ‘Best Actress’ Oscar for Silver Linings Playbook in 2013 is still living rent-free in our minds over ten years later. And we think this Golden Globes red carpet look might have the same fate!

The Longines ambassador was nominated in the 'Best Actress in a Motion Picture Comedy or Musical' category for her role in No Hard Feelings. But although she lost to Emma Stone, who won the award for her performance in Poor Things, Lawrence was a red carpet winner to us, serving one of the chicest and most memorable looks of the entire awards ceremony!

The mom-of-one glided along the red carpet in a stunning midnight blue velvet Dior gown, featuring a seductive plunging neckline and a subtle train. She accessorized with satin Aquazzura pumps, a sparkly clutch, a Tiffany & Co. diamond necklace – which got a lot of attention thanks to J-Law's plunging neckline – and dazzling Tiffany & Co. 'Schlumberger Sea Coral' earrings.

Her hair was worn in a simple and undistracting sleek and straight side-swept down do, which gave the earrings their time in the spotlight. For makeup, her makeup artist also kept things clean, simple, glowing, and flawless.

Jennifer Lawrence's Viral Golden Globes Comment

The Don't Look Up actress is no stranger to making off the cuff and memorable comments at awards ceremonies. One of our favorite examples is when she laughed at herself when she tripped while going up the stairs to collect her 'Best Actress' Oscar back in 2013, and said: "You guys are just standing up because you feel bad that I fell." And the remark she made at Sunday night's Golden Globes was also up there with one of the best things she has said!

As the nominations for 'Best Actress in a Motion Picture Comedy or Musical' were being announced, the No Hard Feelings actress looked at the camera and very clearly mouthed: "If I don't win, I'm leaving! I'll leave!" What made the moment even better, was her reaction to Emma Stone being announced as the winner, as she excitedly mouthed "Mother!" when her name was called out.

Fan Comments

Predictably, the internet still hasn't gotten over it! "Jennifer Lawrence is hysterical," commented one fan in a TikTok video of the moment in question, followed by two crying laughing emojis. "She made it SO clear so we could understand lmao," wrote another, as another added, "God I love Jennifer Lawrence," followed by the crying emoji. "She's always joking around. This was funny," complimented another.

"Please let her host next year," begged another fan, as another simply stated: "She's an icon." "I love her hahaha she's so unserious," added another fan. "Her literally screaming when Emma won, made this whole thing even better," wrote another, followed by the crying laughing emoji.
