Is a reunion in the cards for Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck? It’s certainly looking that way! An insider recently let slip to Page Six that the famous exes have been spending some time together in Los Angeles – only a month after J.Lo and Alex Rodriguez confirmed the end of their engagement.
Affleck has been photographed exiting a White Escalade that sources say belong to Lopez. The insider explained the sitch: "Security picks him up at a nearby location and drops him off after spending a few hours at her house."
Although they could be reuniting as friends, "Bennifer" fans are hopeful that something more romantic is in store for the duo. And their optimism might not be misplaced. It's true that a white SUV is not that rare of a car, but, according to Perez Hilton, Affleck and Lopez have been spotted in the same type of car with the *same* license plate. That sounds a lot less like a simple coincidence.
In addition to these rumored meetings and shared transportation, the exes have had at least one confirmed reunion for Vax Live: The Concert to Reunite the World, a concert that aired on May 8. According to its website, the event is "celebrating the hope that COVID-19 vaccines are offering families and communities around the world" as well as "calling on world leaders to step up to make sure vaccines are accessible for all so we can end the pandemic for everyone, everywhere."
Lopez and Affleck both attended the event. J.Lo even performed!
One thing's for sure: There's no bad blood between these exes. In fact, Affleck has been vocally supportive of Lopez in the past. This April, the actor was quoted in J.Lo's InStyle cover story, praising her incredible work ethic. "I thought I had a good work ethic, but I was completely humbled and blown away by what she was committed to doing day in and day out, the seriousness in which she took her work, the quiet and dedicated way she went about accomplishing her goals, and then how she would go back and redouble her efforts," he told the magazine.
He also made a point to compliment her ageless beauty. "Where are you keeping the fountain of youth? Why do you look the same as you did in 2003 and it kind of looks like I’m in my 40s … at best?" He said. So sweet!
Whether or not Affleck and Lopez get back together (fingers crossed!), they definitely have some common ground to discuss – including their most recent public breakups. At the very least, it looks like "Bennifer" is more than ready to be friends again.
