It isn’t just her current romance with husband Ben Affleck that Jennifer Lopez is letting fans in on, as the 54-year-old multi-hyphenate has also opened up about some of her previous relationships too.

The Hustlers star has reflected on some of her previous relationships in her new documentary The Greatest Love Story Never Told, which follows the making of her This Is Me … Now: A Love Story musical film, which has so far received mixed reviews.

Jennifer Lopez Touches On Past Relationships In New Documentary

In the new Amazon Prime Video documentary, the Marry Me actress seemed to leave nothing off the table, and got very candid about some of her worst memories from her previous relationships.

“There were people in my life who said, ‘I loved you,’ and then didn’t do things that were kind of in line with the word love,” the “Can’t Get Enough” singer confessed in the documentary, adding: “You have to hit rock bottom, where you’re in situations that are so uncomfortable and so painful that you finally go, ‘I don’t want this anymore.'”

She added: “A therapist said to me, ‘What if this was your daughter? What would you do?’ And it was so clear. I was like, I’d tell her, ‘Get the [expletive] out of here, never look back.’ But for me it was so clouded and so complicated with so much of my past and my own pain and hurt and dysfunction, that I couldn’t see clearly. It was like looking through fog.”

Jennifer Lopez Discusses Previous ‘Unsavory’ Relationships

The “Love Don’t Cost A Thing” hitmaker seemed to suggest that she had experienced toxic relationships in the past, as she appeared quite emotional after filming scenes for her song “Rebound,” which seems to hint at domestic violence.

“I’m glad that one’s behind us,” the JLo Beauty mogul says in the documentary, as she walks back to her trailer. She embellished on how uncomfortable the filming made her while in the car, and added: “Being thrown around and manhandled like that is not fun.”

“I was never in a relationship where I got beat up, thank God, but I’ve definitely been manhandled and a couple of other unsavory things… rough… disrespectful,” she explained.

The "On My Way" singer also reflected on the effect the musical film was having on her while on a call with her longtime friend and producing partner, Elaine Goldsmith-Thomas. "More than anything, it's really a vulnerable place to be in every day. That's why I go to work every day, and I'm like, 'What am I doing?'" J-Lo tells her friend.

Goldsmith-Thomas replies: "It's a personal journey that will relate to so many women who are abused. You're talking about how we accept less than we deserve."

Ben Affleck Doesn't Like Jennifer Lopez Putting Their Relationship In The Spotlight

Although the "Pa Ti" singer seems happy to share details of her past and present relationships with her fans, husband Ben Affleck doesn't seem to feel the same way. And he made that quite clear in the documentary!

The Gone Girl actor said: "Getting back together, I said, 'Listen, one of the things I don't want is a relationship on social media.' Then I sort of realized it's not a fair thing to ask. It's sort of like, you're gonna marry a boat captain and you go, ‘Well, I don't like the water.' We're just two people with different kinds of approaches trying to learn to compromise."

The Shotgun Wedding actress touched on the Air star's feelings in the documentary too, saying: "I don't think [Ben] is very comfortable with me doing all of this." She added: "But he loves me, he knows I'm an artist, and he's gonna support me in every way he can because he knows you can't stop me from making the music I made… he doesn't want to stop me. But that doesn't mean he's comfortable being the muse."
