If there’s one thing Jennifer Lopez never misses, it’s commanding attention on the red carpet.
At the 2024 AFI Fest in Hollywood, the singer and actress showcased her signature sculpted physique while promoting her film Unstoppable, which included her ex-husband, Ben Affleck, as one of the producers.
For the occasion, Lopez traded in her usual dramatic gowns for a more preppy, laid-back look—though, in true J.Lo fashion, it was anything but ordinary.
Her appearance also sparked concern among fans, who commented on her “skinny” look.
J.Lo Stuns In A Preppy Outfit On The Red Carpet; Fans Point Out Her Slim Appearance
The 55-year-old displayed her long, toned legs by wearing pastel pink shorts secured with a brown belt. The chic shorts were paired with a loose white shirt and a matching oversized jacket. Adding a bold twist to the casual look, she opted for sky-high platform heels.
A mini white purse and silver jewelry were her accessories.
While J.Lo is known for her famous curves, some fans thought she looked slimmer than usual.
"Whoaahh, she looks skinny," said one fan under JustJared's post from the red carpet.
"Looks like she lost weight; her legs look skinnier," noted another user.
J.Lo has always been passionate about dancing and working out, which, combined with her busy schedule, could explain her slim frame in recent months.
Some also noticed her “sad” expression and speculated that it might be due to promoting a film she worked on with Affleck after the news of their divorce.
Jennifer Lopez Let Go Of Her 'Ego' For Unstoppable
"Sorry, but I'm not feeling her look. And what's up with that sad face?" said one fan. "She looks good, but she looks sad too," wrote another person.
During an interview with Amazon/MGM, the mother of two opened up about playing the role of Judy in Unstoppable and explained how she had to let go of her "ego."
"It was an honor to be a part of Anthony [Robles] and to play Judy," Jennifer shared. "I approached the role with a complete lack of ego where you have to go in there and have so much respect for the person you are playing because it’s her story," she revealed.
She added, "I disappeared; there was no Jennifer, no J.Lo. That person on the screen is just Judy. Luckily, I got to spend time with her and see who she was alone and as a mother."
