Jennifer Lopez Is A 'Love Addict'
One of the experts featured in the documentary is Jon Peters, a Hollywood producer with a history of dating famous people—and addiction. He says it's crystal clear why Jennifer Lopez is actually the problem: "JLo is a love addict," he says. "She's needed a man in her life constantly."
Dr. Drew Pinsky, more commonly known as Dr. Drew, is an addiction medicine specialist, and he agrees with Peters—"Love Addiction" is a real thing, and the "Jenny From The Block" singer definitely has it. Over the years, her dating history has repeated itself—she falls hard and fast in every single relationship she's been in.
Rather than taking some time to herself after a breakup (what a lot of women call finding themselves), Lopez has flung herself into the arms of another man, from Ojani Noa, to Chris Judd, to Marc Anthony, to Alex Rodriguez, and finally to Ben Affleck. Just look at the dates: Lopez and A-Rod called it quits in April of 2021, and she was officially back with Ben Affleck by July of that same year.
Jen & Ben Headed For Divorce
This love addiction goes hand-in-hand with her attention addiction, which is a point of contention in her marriage to Ben Affleck. In Lopez's recent documentary, The Greatest Love Story Never Told, Ben spoke candidly about this topic.
"Getting back together, I said, 'One of the things I don't want is a relationship on social media.' Then I realized it's not a fair thing to ask," but ultimately admitted, "we're just two people with different approaches trying to learn to compromise."
Just like constantly needing that feeling of intense love, she also needs that public affirmation, something she and Ben might never see eye to eye on. "Jen’s need to make their relationship so public and perfect often leaves Ben feeling overwhelmed and henpecked," a source told In Touch. Will this be the cause of their divorce? Only time will tell...
