Jessica Alba is the latest A-lister to go for the chop, and as much as we love her long locks, we have to admit that her new shorter ‘do – which she debuted on Instagram on December 4th – looks too gorgeous for words! The two biggest hair trends of 2021 undoubtedly have to be effortless brushed out curls (in place of the traditional bouncy blowout) as demonstrated by the likes of Kate Middleton, Sandra Bullock, and Reese Witherspoon; and short bobs, which everyone from Kourtney Kardashian to Selena Gomez and now the The Fantastic Four actress have sported this year!
The 40-year-old mom-of-three unveiled the dramatic new look by sharing not one but three pictures with her 19.4 million Instagram followers. In the images, the Sin City actress is wearing a bold red dress with matching red lipstick, and is proudly showing off her flicked out chocolate brown locks in each one. Did we already mention that we are obsessed?!

The Honest Company founder captioned the post, which has since received over 250,000 likes: “3 #weekendmoods – which one are you?” in reference to the three different faces she is pulling in the pictures. The first one is happy and smiley, while the second is sultry and pouty, and the third is sassy and playful. And Alba looks radiant in each and every picture! The post continued: “P.S. you already know this mama is ready for somethin’ special [when] the winged eyeliner comes on. check the link in bio for my GRWM special occasion edition.”
Although the post didn’t mention the haircut, Alba’s fans couldn’t wait to share their thoughts on the actress’s new ‘do. And as expected, it was a big hit with everyone! How could it not be – her enviable bone structure and flawless Hollywood complexion mean she can get away with anything! “LOVE YOUR HAIR!” one comment read. “This cut!!!” exclaimed another approving fan, with the double heart emoji following the comment. “The hair is everything,” raved another, while yet another IG user gave the new hair the thumbs up, writing, “Love your shorter Hair,” followed by a red heart emoji. “@jessicaalba love the short hair so much Jess,” gushed another fan, also adding the red heart emoji which featured many times in the comments, of which there are currently over 2,000.
