It’s every parent’s worst nightmare to have their children walk in on them in a compromising position, but it seems that even celebrities aren’t immune to uncomfortable situations. Jessica Alba just opened up about an unfortunate moment that happened to her recently, revealing on her YouTube show Getting Honest that her nine-year-old daughter Haven once walked in on Alba and her husband Cash Warren in the bedroom. We’re blushing!
Speaking to married couple Rachel Zoe and Rodger Berman who appeared on the show on May 20, Alba’s husband shared the painfully awkward details of the incident. “It was the worst,” he admitted. “We like spent five minutes in our bedroom laughing. And being like, ‘I can't believe we just ruined our daughter, we just ruined her.’”
Apparently Alba wasn’t quite as amused, and the 40-year-old actress revealed she quickly turned to tears and “started crying.” “I called Koa [Warren's sister]. She's so good at helping us through challenges, I feel like she just has such a kind, gentle soul,” said Alba of the aftermath. The pair decided to address the issue head on, going to speak to their daughter right after the incident.
“We just have to own this one. We can't pretend it didn't happen,” Warren recounted saying. “I think by the time we called Koa, Haven had already texted her. She went right in and told everyone,” Alba added in embarrassment. Warren turned the moment into a joke, however, saying, “I went downstairs and said, ‘Haven, I bet that's the last time you walk into our room without knocking.’ Now she knocks, it was like she learned her lesson.” Alba and Warren have now been married for 13 years and share three children: Honor, Haven and Hayes. Clearly parenting comes with a learning curve!
