Jessica Chastain evoked true Hollywood glamour when she attended the opening ceremony of the Marrakech International Film Festival on Friday, November 24th, for which she served as jury president.
“Being entrusted with this role is a privilege and I look forward to celebrating incredible global talent within the world of cinema,” the Eyes of Tammy Faye actress said in a statement, according to WWD. Having such an important role understandably means dressing to impress – and that’s exactly what she did when she walked the red carpet in a glittering Armani Privé jumpsuit.

All eyes were on the 46-year-old Oscar-winning actress on opening night of the film festival, as she stole the show in a custom diamanté Armani Privé jumpsuit, paired with a jaw-dropping beaded cape (she loves a cape!) from the brand's fall 2021 collection.
The Zero Dark Thirty star finished off her look with a glittering pair of Casadei peep-toe platform heels in a perfectly matching color, while hairstylist Christian Wood styled her hair in a chic ponytail with the ends slightly curled. Her makeup, done by Mary Greenwell, was as glamorous as we would expect to complement such a stunning outfit, and consisted of a bold sparkly eye, bronzed cheeks, and a statement red lip.
Jessica Chastain's Powerful Speech
The Interstellar actress gave a powerful speech during the opening ceremony of the festival, and referenced the Israeli military campaign in Gaza. "In the weeks leading up to the festival, we were not sure that we would even be able to be here," Chastain began. "The world we share is shattered and devoured."
"Throughout history, art has been used as an accessible tool for communication, raising awareness about social issues and affecting positive change," she continued, as Melita Toscan du Plantier, director of the Marrakech International Film Festival, added: "We know what's happening and don't forget it. But heart is important. Heart is a weapon against obscurity and against conflict. We're here to talk about heart, show movies and talk about directors from this region."
