Jessica Simpson flaunted her curves and slimmer physique (after shedding 100 pounds) in a chic floral slip dress last week. The “With You” singer, 44, was notably without her wedding ring while attending her nephew Bronx Wentz‘s 16th birthday party last week, amid swirling rumors of a split from her husband Eric Johnson.
The “I Wanna Love You Forever” hitmaker and the former NFL player, 45, got married in 2014. Simpson and Johnson have three children together, but haven’t appeared in public as a couple for months, sparking speculation about a possible divorce.

As seen in photos obtained by The Daily Mail, Simpson’s family came together to support her nephew (whose parents are Ashlee Simpson and Pete Wentz) at the Beverly Hills celebration, with Johnson noticeably absent. The fashion designer and style icon wore a plunging, figure-accentuating dress that drew attention to her transformed shape.
Simpson’s weight loss journey has been highly visible, with her social media updates documenting her progress since reaching 260 pounds following the birth of her daughter, Birdie, in 2019. Simpson shares 5-year-old Birdie and two other children, Maxwell, 12, and Ace, 11, with Johnson.

After gaining weight due to "drinking and pregnancy," Simpson realized it was time to transform her lifestyle and regain her fitness. "6 months. 100 pounds down (Yes, I tipped the scales at 240)," she wrote in a September 2019 Instagram caption. "My first trip away from #BIRDIEMAE and emotional for many reasons, but so proud to feel like myself again. Even when it felt impossible, I chose to work harder."
And that work was all "willpower," she said, with no contribution from celeb-fave drugs like Ozempic. The diabetes medication has gained popularity among many A-listers for weight loss, despite Novo Nordisk, its manufacturer, not endorsing this application.
In a 2023 interview with Bustle, Simpson directly addressed the rumors that she had used Ozempic to achieve her weight loss. "Oh Lord. I mean, it is not… it's willpower," she said. "I'm like, do people want me to be drinking again? Because that's when I was heavier. Or they want me to be having another baby? My body can't do it."
The Open Book author confessed that the speculation and negative comments from social media users can be tough to deal with, but she continues to push ahead regardless. "It hurts," Simpson said.
She added: "Am I going to let the negativity derail me? No, I'm too old for that. I am too connected to myself right now to let that derail me. It doesn't mean that it doesn't hurt."
Regarding her weight changes, she views them as a benefit that allows her to relate to the customers of her diverse range of Jessica Simpson-branded items. "I am fortunate to have been every size," she explained. "For [my] brand, understanding the women [who buy our products], and for my psyche."
