How Jessica Simpson Lost 100 Lbs With Thousands Of Steps And Technology Breaks, According To Her Trainer
Slowly but surely, Pasternak got Simpson up to 14,000 steps per day and told the outlet: "It’s a social thing that she can do with her kids." Pasternak mentioned that he planned to have Simpson join him for 45-minute gym sessions three times a week, which left a lasting impression on her trainers.
Consuming a nutritious diet, the trainer stressed, significantly contributed to the businesswoman's weight loss. Simpson adhered to Pasternak's "Body Reset Diet." This regimen includes three meals and two snacks each day. Every meal features a balance of protein, fiber, and fat, whereas the snacks offer a mix of either protein and fiber or protein and fat.
Pasternak noted: "She’ll have foods that are very flavorable that are healthier versions of things like a tortilla soup or Tex-Mex." He went on: "And if she has a birthday party one night and a date night another night, she’s going to indulge both of those nights, but that’s it." Simpson's health guru also shared: "It’s about balancing in a way that doesn’t make it painful or too much of a departure from your life before that."
Simpson's trainer also emphasized that her weight loss journey encompassed far more than just exercise and proper nutrition. For at least one hour each day, he encouraged her to practice "unplugging from technology." He continued: "So many people undervalue the importance of sleep in weightless and weight management."
Pasternak notably shared that he and Simpson are "not a big fan of doing any extreme diet or radical forms of exercise" and her weight loss plan "had to be more than just getting back from her baby weight."
Simpson also told Bustle herself that her weight loss transformation was due to "willpower" and that her "power" is in her "vulnerability." During that 2023 interview, Simpson revealed that her fluctuations in weight have mirrored significant life events. "I am fortunate to have been every size," Simpson reflected. She added: "For my brand, understanding the women who buy our products, and for my psyche."
