Jill Biden Defends President Joe Biden In His Disastrous Debate
This feature comes just days after Joe Biden participated in his first debate with Donald Trump. Following the debate, reports surfaced that many people, including members of the Democratic Party, were unhappy with President Biden's performance, with some even calling for him to step down from the race.
But his wife is still supporting him and remaining by his side. She told the outlet she "will not let those 90 minutes define the four years he’s been president. We will continue to fight." She added that they “will always do what’s best for the country."
Jill faced further criticism for telling her husband afterward that he "did such a great job" despite his frequent lapses in train of thought and slow speech during the debate.
Jill Biden Calls The 2024 Elections 'Different'
She emphasized the significance of this election, urging people to recognize what is at stake. "Every campaign is important, and every campaign is hard. Each campaign is unique. But this one, the urgency is different. We know what’s at stake. Joe is asking the American people to come together to draw a line in the sand against all this vitriol," she said.
She continued to add, "We don’t need more chaos. Fundamentally, Americans care about each other. And this anger, animosity, and divisiveness—it’s not who we are. We’re good people."
