The Internet Reacts To Joe Biden Wandering Into The Amazon Rainforest After Speech: ‘That’s Who Is Running The Country’

Joe Biden is nearing the end of his presidency, and while many are dreading the return of Donald Trump, most can agree it’s time for Joe Biden to retire. The President, 82, has been showing signs of old age for many months now, and his most recent public engagement only emphasized his cognitive decline.
Visiting the Amazon Rainforest, Biden gave a speech about the importance of eliminating deforestation, and while his speech was elegant, his departure was a bit… confusing. After giving his closing remarks, Biden turned from the podium and walked straight into the rainforest. Keep reading for more information.
Biden has made fighting climate change an important cause during his presidency, pushing for cleaner energy and protective legislation, so it’s not surprising that he became the first sitting US President to visit the Amazon Rainforest. There, he met with Indigenous leaders and Nobel Prize-winning scientist Carlos Nobre, and gave a speech about the importance of conservation.
“History is literally watching us now,” he said at the conclusion of his speech. “So let’s preserve this sacred place for our time and forever, for the benefit of all humanity.” As the crowd applauded, Biden turned from the podium and headed to his right, towards the rainforest. Only when he got to the edge of the clearing where the crowd had gathered, he didn’t stop and turn around, rather he kept going, disappearing from view into the rainforest.
