Joe Jonas took to social media to tease fans with new music, on May 29th, with a video of him lip-synching over an unreleased track while riding a bike through the scenic countryside.
The Jonas brother, 34, captioned his teaser post, “Even baddies get saddies.” Fans flooded the comments to share their excitement and to commend Jonas’ vulnerability, less than a year following his split from ex Sophie Turner.
The 30-second clip has an upbeat melody, while still being filled with heartfelt lyrics that fans felt they could relate to. Some fans even claimed it as the “song of the summer,” before they’ve heard the remaining verses of the track.
“Come on, Joe, you got so much more to be grateful for,” the musician sang. “Stop being sad because you’re making the room uncomfortable / OK I get it / I know you’re feeling so miserable / Sometimes I wish I had powers to be invisible / Even baddies get saddies and that’s the hardest truth / Called your mommy and daddy, they don’t know what to do.”
Fans who relate to the musician’s feelings chimed in saying, “Joe it’s called depresh, it’s okay I feel u,” and “This song makes me realize I’m not alone, here for you Joe.”
Another followed by saying “if joe jonas says i can do it then i can do it,” and “Oh it’s going to be a baddies get saddies kind of summer! Proud of you.”
