It’s not just viewers who seemingly disliked Joker sequel, Joker: Folie a Deux, as many of the movie’s stars also appeared to have a big problem with it too!

The movie, directed by Todd Phillips, sees Joaquin Phoenix reprise his Oscar-winning role as Arthur Fleck, aka Joker, as he stands trial following his previous murder spree from the first movie. In this movie, he meets psychiatrist-turned-criminal and beloved DC Comics figure, Lee Quinzel/Harley Quinn, played by Lady Gaga, with the two characters spending a large part of the movie singing and dancing.

There have been many criticisms of the film since its premiere, which many people didn’t think should have been a musical. Actor Tim Dillon, who played a guard at Arkham Asylum, was one of the latest people to open up about his immense dislike of the film; and he did not hold back during his candid interview on The Joe Rogan Experience.

“I was in Joker 2, it’s the worst film that has ever been made,” he told Joe Rogan, before going on to say that in his opinion, “it has no plot.” “It’s not even hate-watchable. That’s how terrible it is,” he quipped.

Dillon also went on to say that many of his co-stars also felt the same way, and recalled how he remembered them telling each other on set: “This is gonna bomb, man.” Ouch!

What Did Joaquin Phoenix And Lady Gaga Say About ‘Joker 2’?

A now viral clip from the premiere seems to show Phoenix, 50, calling the final cut of the movie “horrible,” according to lip readers, while Gaga seemed to disagree with him. She appeared to ask her co-star, “What are you talking about?” and seemingly said she “loved” the movie. Watch the clip above to see the interaction.

However, despite seemingly saying she “loved” the movie, the 38-year–old Grammy winner seemed to have some issues with it. A source who recently spoke with Life & Style revealed that she felt humiliated when she saw the final cut, as many of her scenes were apparently removed from the final version. “She was not only irate, embarrassed and shocked over how most of her scenes were excised but also furious about how the songs were presented,” the tipster said.

The House of Gucci star reportedly also thought that the way her songs in the film were shown were “all these awkward shifts from violence and dread to upbeat, jazzy songs.” The source went on: “It made her look foolish and inept.”

Quentin Tarantino Seemed To Defend The Movie

Quentin Tarantino was one of the big names who seemed to defend the movie, and made his opinions known on the Bret Easton Ellis Podcast last month. The Pulp Fiction director said he "really, really liked" the film, and said he liked how it set out to anger comic book fans and Hollywood and Warner Bros. stockholders.

"Todd Phillips is the Joker. The Joker directed the movie," the Kill Bill director quipped. "The entire concept, even him spending the studio's money, he's spending it like the Joker would spend it." (Hmm... at least we think he defended the movie...)
