Jonah Hill Allegedly Used 'Therapy Speak' To Try To 'Control' Ex Sarah Brady
In the texts from their relationship shared by Sarah, the pro surfer alleges that ex Jonah Hill would "manipulate" her into removing photos of herself wearing a swimsuit from her social media accounts, despite them being par for the course considering her beachy profession. Sarah shared many images of the texts, wherein the Moneyball actor would use "therapy speak" (according to TikTok, that is) to gaslight his partner, and instead of being truly vulnerable with her—like in therapy—he would use the language to "control" her actions.
Sarah remarked in one of the posts that "the fact that [Jonah] calls himself a feminist now is laughable." The pro athlete also posted a photo of herself wearing a white halter top and shorts, writing in the caption, "Reviving a pic I took down by request of a narcissistic misogynist," which of course is referring to her allegations against Jonah Hill.
His ex's claims aren't the only ones the Wolf of Wall Street actor is facing: Zoey 101 star Alexa Nikolas also accused Jonah of sexual assault soon after Sarah Brady's allegations went public, posting on Twitter on July 8th that he "shoved his tongue down my throat" at a party when she was only 16 years old.
The incident apparently took place at a party at Justin Long's house, and entirely without the young actress' consent. However, Jonah hit back quickly, with lawyers telling Page Six that the story was "a complete fabrication." Alexa had more to say, though—she added that everyone else at the party, who were adults, were "aware" she was just a teenager at the time. "I remember my friend talking to [the party hosts] on the phone and then saying that I wasn’t able to tell anyone we were going there while we were driving because of our age and what the 'press would do with that if they knew because of who they all were,'" the former child star claimed. She also added that jokes about their age were made throughout the night. "I was a child so I obviously felt scared and angry," she said. "Sadly, this wasn’t the first time I’ve been assaulted or objectified as a child."
Jonah's Dramatic Transformation Follows Difficult Series Of Allegations
Perhaps considering the difficult claims Jonah has faced in recent months, coupled with the lifestyle upheaval of the alleged birth of his first child with partner Olivia Millar, it's no wonder that the actor has gone through the dramatic transformation that we're seeing now.
Jonah's slimmed-down look is also the result of his newfound passion for surfing, which may have brought himself and ex Sarah Brady together in the first place. In fact, the This is the End actor even belongs to a group dubbed the “Surf Jews of California” along with filmmaker Spike Jonze and Beastie Boys rapper Mike Diamond. The group, said Jonah to GQ, is really an “inside joke.” However, his love of surfing is quite serious—he’s often seen riding the waves in Malibu, and even came across a sticker reading “Jonah Hill Ruined Surfing” near his home, which he addressed on Instagram by saying, “I will never stop doing things that make me happy no matter how insecure my happiness makes you.”
His new look has drawn concern from fans, though, with some worrying that he appears "seriously thin" in the newest images of him captured this week. "Too thin," wrote one Twitter response to a NY Post tweet about the paparazzi images. "He looks terrible," read another. Some, though, applauded his weight loss:
Jonah will soon be seen starring as the late musician Jerry Garcia in an upcoming Martin Scorsese-directed biopic about the Grateful Dead for Apple TV+.
