Jonah Hill’s Transformation Continues To Stun Us All

May 14, 2023 by Carrie McCabe

Jonah Hill was spotted in Malibu Wednesday rocking a slimmed-down surfer-dude look, and we’re simply stunned at his transformation!

Jonah, 39, took his surfboard to a repair shop this week amidst speculation that his girlfriend Olivia Millar is pregnant with the couple’s first child.

The Wolf of Wall Street actor’s outfit—a surfing t-shirt with green shorts highlighting his leg tattoos—showcased his sporty physique, likely a partial result of his interest in surfing the last few years.

Jonah Fell In Love With Surfing After Being ‘Terrified’ Of The Sport

In a since-deleted 2019 Instagram post, the You People producer shared that he had been “terrified to surf my whole life,” despite surfing being a “secret dream” of his. Apparently getting up on the board was enough to break the “totally random fear,” however: Jonah called surfing “one of the most fun experiences I’ve ever had,” and has been spotted surfing frequently ever since.

In fact, the This is the End actor even belongs to a group dubbed the “Surf Jews of California” along with filmmaker Spike Jonze and Beastie Boys rapper Mike Diamond. The group, said Jonah to GQ, is really an “inside joke.” However, his love of surfing is quite serious—he’s often seen riding the waves in Malibu, and even came across a sticker reading “Jonah Hill Ruined Surfing” near his home, which he addressed on Instagram by saying, “I will never stop doing things that make me happy no matter how insecure my happiness makes you.”

A Big Year For Jonah Hill

2023 is shaping up to be huge for Jonah: along with his reported engagement to Olivia Millar and her speculated pregnancy, the Hollywood renaissance man has some seriously big projects in the works.

Jonah will be back in the director's chair for the film Outcome, which will star Keanu Reeves as a "damaged Hollywood star who must dive into the dark depths of his past to confront his demons and make amends after he is extorted with a mysterious video clip from his past."

The Oscar nominee will also star as as the late musician Jerry Garcia in an upcoming Martin Scorsese-directed biopic about the Grateful Dead for Apple TV+.
