Julia Roberts looked ever-so-elegant and très chic in a new ad for the Lancôme fragrance, La vie est belle L’Elixir.

The Academy Award winner and style icon, 56, rocked a sleek, long-sleeved black turtleneck top paired with a dazzling diamond statement necklace and a flowing, dramatic pink ballgown skirt.

Directed by Oscar-winning filmmaker Damien Chazelle, the ad also featured the Pretty Woman alum in a sophisticated black blazer, matching trousers, and a classic white tee, all complemented by the same stunning jewelry. Captured on 35mm film, the short narrative follows Roberts as she swaps her vibrant pink skirt for the stylish black suit moments before entering a party, and ultimately finds solace on a Parisian rooftop.

In the video, Roberts wears her signature copper tresses down, parted in the center and styled into effortless loose waves. As for her makeup look, the mom of three sported shimmering eyeshadow, subtle black liner, voluminous lashes, rosy blush on her high cheekbones and a glossy pink pout.

On September 1st, the Notting Hill actress shared the ad in a post for her 12.6 million Instagram followers. Naturally, they couldn’t get enough, and headed to her post’s comments section to share their thoughts. Roberts captioned her upload: “Thank you Damien Chazelle!” One fan wrote: “It was magical, you are beautiful” as another added: “Hi beauty.” Her fellow famous friends also weighed in, with Rita Wilson noting: “LA Vie est belle et toi aussi!” which translates to “Life is beautiful and so are you!”

In a press release, Maisondieu offers a detailed description of L’Elixir, the fragrance Roberts helped promote. "A new symbol of floral modernity for this new chapter of La vie est belle," it read. The release added: "Behind this fragrance is a desire for softness, for caressing, for reinventing the sensuality of the skin…[via] the addition of a woody violet immersed in an irresistible raspberry liqueur and sprinkled with bitter cocoa."

"[The film] captures Julia Roberts in a beautifully poetic, defining moment, as she chooses her own path over others’ expectations," it went on. "With time magically suspended, Chazelle’s cinematic lens pictures the actress as she gazes out over Paris from the top of the Arc de Triomphe and experiences the exhilaration that comes with being the author of her own story."
