Julianne Hough is bringing back the 90’s bob. Hough is a two-time professional champion of ABC’s Dancing with the Stars. She’s starred in feature films such as Safe Have, Footloose, and Rock of Ages. But it’s not her dancing skills that are making the headlines this week.
The dancer and actress is causing a tizzy with her new haircut. She decided to channel Claire Danes from My So-Called Life and Winona Ryder in Reality Bites for her latest hair-do and her fans are loving it.
Celebrity stylist, Riawna Capri, crafted the Hough’s newest transformation. Hough typically wears her short hair slightly messy with texture. This latest look is sleek, structured, and blunt. The cut maybe 90’s chic, but it does have a 2020 twist. Capri says, “I like it a little messy, not super perfect, with a little flair.”
Capri told Allure that the “haircut is 100 percent one length — no layers, no weight taken out, no secret texturizing, all to create a thick stackable weight line, which Jules has never had before.” Capria showcased her work on Instagram and Hough’s fans went wild for the new style.
Hough is not the first celeb to chop off her locks in the winter of 2019. Bella Hadid, Hilary Duff, and Jessica Alba are all sporting shorter styles this winter and the trend is sure to continue. Could the new decade mean the 90’s vibe is stilling going strong? We will soon find out.
