The new year is off to a great start for Justin Timberlake and Jessica Biel as the pair have announced the birth of their second child, a son named Phineas, on the most recent episode of The Ellen Show. The 39-year-old singer confirmed the news of their son’s birth and gushed over the most recent addition to their family via a virtual appearance on Monday.
Timberlake revealed to DeGeneres via Zoom, “He’s awesome and so cute. Nobody’s sleeping. But we’re thrilled. We’re thrilled and couldn’t be happier. Very grateful.” Timberlake and his actress wife kept the pregnancy private over the last several months, only alerting family and a few close friends of the news.
Apparently, DeGeneres was one of the lucky few actually let in on the secret. “I think we were FaceTiming and you said, ‘Hey, you want to know a secret?’ and then Jessica walked in and you put your hand on her stomach. You were like, ‘I’m having another baby!’” DeGeneres shared.
Biel and Timberlake married in 2012, giving birth to their first son Silas in 2015. The arrival of their second child comes over a year after the scandal of a potential affair, when Timberlake was spotted holding hands with co-star Alisha Wainwright. It seems as though all has since been forgiven!
Timberlake admitted that while the couple have so far enjoyed being the parents of two children, it has definitely affected their personal relationship. “We don’t see each other anymore,” he joked, continuing, “It’s a lot of fun. I guess the saying goes, go from a zone defense to a man-to-man quickly. It’s great.” We can’t wait to see some pictures!
