Kanye West is in the running for husband of the year after Kim Kardashian revealed the sweet gift he gave her for her birthday. The 40-year-old reality star took to Instagram on November 22 to share a stunning black and white throwback photo of the pair, along with the heartfelt poem (complete with doodles!) that Kanye wrote for her. It may not be a Birkin or a charity donation like last year, but it certainly melted our hearts!
Kim snapped some sweet pics of the poem Kanye wrote for her October birthday, which he signed, “Love 4ever Yeezy.” At the top of the folded paper, he wrote, “Late is better than never!” Kim clearly feels the same way if she wanted to show off his writing to her followers over a month after her birthday!
On the left side of the page, Kanye sketched a stick drawing of himself and his wife, labelling “birkin bag,” and “G-6,” as noteworthy additions to the image. It looks like a pretty good picture of their life of luxury to me! Within the poem itself, Yeezy called his wife his angel, heaven, and hell, along with several other conflicting statements. As long as it means something to her, it’s sweet!
Kardashian fell under harsh criticism in recent months for her luxury birthday celebration, where she jetted her family and closest friends away to a private island for an escape from the pandemic. Posting repeatedly on social media flaunting the lavish getaway, fans were furious of the tone-deaf showing. Kanye, although not there for the whole trip due to work, showed up for the final days as a birthday surprise.
Even A-list celebrities love sentimental birthday gifts, and Kanye’s poem for Kim was apparently just what she needed after the year that 2020 had turned out to be. Well, that and a private island getaway. While we expected a little more from the Grammy award winning rapper in the way of rhyming, it’s the thought that counts and we’re sure his ‘angel’ loved it.
