Collaborating with her father Kanye “Ye” West, 10-year-old North West has taken on a new venture of rapping and singing in their latest release, “Talking/Once Again,” featuring Ty Dolla $ign. Young North shares the spotlight with her controversial Grammy-winning father, 46 in the music video as well, confidently showing off her musical abilities and referring to herself as “Miss Westie” while singing and rapping.

However, opinions on the new song and video have been divided, with some fans criticizing Kanye of practicing “nepotism” for featuring his young daughter while others have been left impressed by her skills. In the comment section of a February 7th Instagram post from pop culture publication Complex, many fans shared their mixed opinions on the track and visual.

Kanye West Accused Of Practicing 'Nepotism' And Featuring Daughter North In His New 'Trash' Song & Visual

On the new song, North sings and raps: "I love it here/ We gonna take over the year for another year/ It's your bestie, Miss, Miss Westie." She also quips: "Don't tryna test me/It's gonna get messy."

Following her father Kanye's outburst two months ago, which included sharing information about young North in public, concerned fans continue to take to social media to express worry for the safety of the child, her mother Kim Kardashian, and the former couple's three other children; son Saint, 8, daughter Chicago, 6 and son Psalm, 4.

They're also not shy about critiquing his latest song "Talking/Once Again," and its music video. "It’s so bad," one user wrote beneath the aforementioned Complex post as another added: "this is trash." Someone else commented: "Holy s—t that was that awful," as one other replied: "First skip of the album." One user concurred, adding: "Jesus are we kidding????" They went on: "This is trash. She cute we love her but this is not music, this is him letting his daughter play in the booth! Take me back to the 90/2000’s when musicians took music seriously."

In the video, North is captured mouthing the words to the song while multiple hands can be seen deftly braiding her hair. Another shot depicts her perched atop her father's shoulders. During a listening party in Miami last December, Kanye teased his daughter North's appearance on his latest record, as she could be heard delivering a few lines on one of the tracks.

Kanye and Ty Dolla $ign (real name Tyrone William Griffin Jr.), 41, have plans to promote their joint album Vultures 1 (first unveiled and released on February 10th) at two listening parties in Italy next week - one in Milan and the other in Bologna. The album's release has been the center of attention recently due to a few controversial issues.

One issue involves the use of samples without proper permission, including Backstreet Boys' "Everybody" and a live performance by Ozzy Osbourne of "Iron Man." The latter sample was later substituted (in the song "Carnival") with an interpolation of "Hell of a Life" from Kanye's 2010 record, My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy.

As reported by Billboard, there was a conflict with the Donna Summer estate regarding the copyright of the song "I Feel Love," which was utilized in "Good (Don't Die)." This issue resulted in the song being removed from streaming platforms on February 15th. However, it has since been reinstated.
